Beeswax Balm for Cork & Wood – Natural Care and Protection

Naturally care for, refresh and protect your surfaces: our beeswax balm for cork and wood is suitable for the care of a wide range of cork and wooden surfaces. It refreshes dull surfaces, helps protect against moisture and dirt, and gives the material a pleasantly smooth, slightly silky finish.

The combination of beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax creates a protective, antistatic surface without covering up the natural appearance and pleasant feel of cork or wood.

The care balm is particularly suitable for natural cork, cork placemats, coasters and home accessories, as well as furniture, shelves and other suitable wooden surfaces.

50 ml or 750 ml – Choose the Right Size

The beeswax balm is available in two sizes:

• 50 ml – ideal for smaller areas, individual cork products and occasional use
• 750 ml – ideal for larger surfaces, multiple products and regular use

With a consumption of approximately 60–70 ml/m², the balm is very economical. One litre is sufficient for approximately 15 m², depending on the surface and the amount applied.

Caring for Cork and Refreshing Surfaces

Cork is naturally easy to care for. However, occasional treatment of waxed or otherwise suitable surfaces can help refresh the material and preserve its pleasant feel and natural appearance over time.

The beeswax balm is particularly suitable for maintaining our cork placemats and table mats with a waxed surface, as well as other suitable cork products.

Application

Apply a thin, even layer of beeswax balm to the clean and dry surface using a lint-free cloth or brush.

Leave to absorb for approximately 15–30 minutes, then remove any excess balm in the direction of the grain. After approximately 3–4 hours, the surface can be polished.

A second application can enhance the protective effect and appearance.

We recommend testing the balm on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.

Workshop Tip from korkie: Less is more – apply the beeswax balm in a thin, even layer. Remove any excess after the recommended absorption time before polishing the surface.
